Our Story

A new chapter for a River Heights institution.

For decades, the clinic at 2734 Montague Street was the practice of Dr. G.J. Kriek, a family physician who cared for generations of River Heights families from this same corner of the neighbourhood.

When Dr. Kriek retired, Dr. Joshua Czemeres and Dr. RoxAnne Digney stepped forward as equal partners to carry the practice into its next chapter, so the community would never be without a family clinic to call its own. The faces are new. The standard of care, and the address, are not.

New names on the door. The same promise behind it: a doctor who knows you, close to home.

Dr. Czemeres is a family physician with deep Saskatchewan roots. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Jagiellonian University Medical College in Kraków, Poland, one of the oldest medical faculties in Europe, before returning home to practise in Regina. Patients know him for an approachable, thorough style of medicine and a genuine commitment to long‑term relationships with the families in his care. Together with Dr. Digney, he is proud to carry a longtime River Heights family practice into its next generation.

Dr. RoxAnne Digney, MD

Dr. Digney is Regina born and raised, and her path to medicine runs straight through Saskatchewan's health system. She studied medical technology at the University of Regina and spent years as a medical laboratory technologist at the Saskatchewan Disease Control Laboratory, Regina General Hospital, and Royal University Hospital, all while raising her three children. She went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine at Ross University School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency with the University of Saskatchewan right here in Regina. She knows Saskatchewan health care from the laboratory bench to the exam room, and brings that whole perspective to every patient.

Both partner physicians are licensed to practise medicine in Saskatchewan. You can verify any physician's registration, qualifications, and standing using the public register of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Health coverage

We are a community family practice. Insured family medicine services are billed directly to Saskatchewan Health for patients with a valid health card. Fees for uninsured services such as certain forms and notes are posted at the clinic.

Your health information

Patient records are protected under Saskatchewan's Health Information Protection Act (HIPA). Your chart is shared only with your consent or as the law allows, and you may request access to your own records at any time.

Professional standards

Dr. Czemeres and Dr. Digney practise to the standards and guidelines of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and maintain professional liability protection, as required of every licensed physician in the province.

I was a patient of Dr. Kriek. Can I continue my care here?
Yes, and welcome back. When Dr. Kriek retired, Dr. Czemeres and Dr. Digney carried the practice forward at the same Montague Street location. Former patients of the practice are warmly invited to call us or submit an inquiry about continuing their care.
Do I need a referral to see a family doctor here?
No. Family medicine does not require a referral. Anyone in Regina or the surrounding communities can submit a new patient inquiry directly.
Are visits covered by Saskatchewan Health?
Yes. Standard family medicine visits are covered for patients with a valid Saskatchewan Health card. Some services not insured by the province, such as certain forms, notes, and reports, may have a fee. Our staff can explain any uninsured fees before your visit.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring your Saskatchewan Health card, a list of your current medications, and any relevant medical records or specialist letters. Arriving ten minutes early helps us complete your registration.
Where are you located, and is there parking?
We are at 2734 Montague Street in Regina's River Heights neighbourhood, in the River Heights Shopping Centre across from Kiwanis Park. Free parking is available right at the door.
How do I transfer my records from my previous clinic?
Once you are accepted as a patient, our staff will give you a records transfer form to authorize your previous clinic to send your chart. Your previous clinic may charge a transfer fee, which is standard practice in Saskatchewan.
